The Constituency consists of 6 Assembly Constituencies – 3 of which are newly carved out from other constituencies. A major change for the Parliamentary Constituency is removing the Alandur Assembly Constituency and adding the newly created Constituency of Sholinganallur. This has changed the geography of the Constituency.
